Hurricane & ICF Construction
Fortified Construction
We've taken the art and business of custom homebuilding to a higher level.
We’ve built over 200 Insulated Concrete Form (ICF) homes and many “Fortified for Safer Living” certified homes. We’ve won three international FIRST PLACE awards from ICF Builder Magazine for “Best Unlimited Residential ICF Project.” We are one of the few custom builders along the North and South Carolina coastline regularly building custom homes with both Insulated Concrete Form (ICF) wall systems and homes that meet the 150 MPH/CAT 3 Hurricane “Fortified for Safer Living” Certification. Both state insurance services in North and South Carolina have approved an automatic reduction on homeowner insurance rates for any FORTIFIED home. We have seen these discounts consistently reach 25% off of annual premiums, sometimes even more.

Take Your Living Experience To The Next Level
We bring everything to the table to provide you a spectacular experience, from start to finish.
For many years, the Carrell Group has been building with the high majority of Fortified elements: Impact Glass Windows, Concrete roofs, ICF Wall systems, reinforced roof tie-down systems. You can visit this website to check out photo galleries of our favorite work. Now, with some upgrades in engineering and reviews, homeowners are optimizing insurance discounts for these building methods. To find out more about ICF and/or “Fortified for Safer Living” homes, please contact us for newsletters, information, and to possibly schedule a meeting or home tour with us.
